====== How do I delete a page permanently? ======

> Deleting a page is irreversible once removed from the trash. Consider [[how-do-i-archive-or-unpublish-a-page-without-deleting-it|unpublishing]] instead if you may need the content later.

===== Steps =====

  - Go to **Content → All Pages**
  - Find the page you want to delete
  - Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** next to the page
  - Select **Move to Trash**
  - The page will move to the **Trash** folder and be removed from public view

===== Permanently delete from Trash =====

  - Go to **Content → Trash**
  - Find the page and click **Delete Permanently**
  - Confirm the action in the dialog box

===== Bulk delete =====

  - Check the boxes next to multiple pages
  - Click **Bulk Actions → Move to Trash**
  - Then empty the trash as above

===== After deletion =====

  * Set up a [[how-do-i-manage-url-slugs-and-redirects|redirect]] from the deleted page's URL to avoid broken links
  * Notify any team members who may have linked to that page
